Could you use a getaway? Sure! We all need time off once in a while, or at least, a deviation from the routine.
Have you ever considered a weekend getaway—by yourself or with a girlfriend? Or if you can’t swing a whole weekend, maybe one night will do!
At the core of Sandy Cove, our mission is to help people connect with God and each other. That's why we offer retreats for spiritual (and physical!) refreshment and intimate fellowship.
Think about it: a getaway just for you. No cooking, washing dishes, cleaning up, making beds, folding laundry, or anything else that's on the never-ending "to do" checklist.
We encourage you to push the pause button. Go ahead . . .
Pull together a crew to handle responsibilities in your absence—your husband, a neighbor, parents, a babysitter (whoever!)—and join us for a fun and refreshing getaway at the top of the Chesapeake Bay. Come alone expecting to make new friends or with an old friend to make more memories together.
Take a moment to explore our upcoming events—in particular, the 8 we highlighted below. Which interest you the most?
Clear your calendar now and start planning your women-only retreat!
If you’ve never been to one of our Women's Weekends, then you don’t know what you’re missing! These events are without question among the highest caliber of Christian women’s gatherings in the Mid-Atlantic region. Music, ministry, teaching, relaxing, talking, and laughing—these are just a few of the reasons you should come!
Susie Larson is returning to Sandy Cove this fall to share “PACED & POWERFUL! Living in the Rhythm and Power God Has for You.” Susie is a radio host, author and national speaker. She hosts her own daily live talk show, Live the Promise with Susie Larson. Beckah Shae is joining us for the weekend to lead worship.

Join them in laughter and lessons!

Formerly Crop Around the Clock, this weekend is now open to all creative crafters. Scrapbooks, crochet, wooden tiles, stamping, knitting—you name it! Bring your "craft" and share it with everyone and glean some tips and tricks while you're at it. Each person gets table space for the weekend, so with no interruptions or family obligations, you can get focused and inspired!

Women Digging Deeper
Our souls long for time to focus on God’s Word and listen to the still small voice of the Spirit. A Women Digging Deeper Weekend is designed to provide time to fervently study scripture under the guidance of a Bible teacher. This year, Nicole Unice, will be helping us discover “The Wisdom of God for Living Well!”
Join us to dig deeper on February 2-4, 2018
Spend a weekend with other women who have lost their husbands to death. You will be with people who understand your journey. Come share your heart and your hurt and be encouraged as we remind ourselves that, hard as it is, our God is able. Learn from women who are where you are, women who have weathered grief and difficult times.

Join us for a few days and let us allow the Holy Spirit to teach, reveal, and do His healing work. Experience teaching from Scripture that describes His strategy for changing us, making us new and setting us free.
Come to RESTORE and experience:
- Freedom as you discover the root of your emotional eating
- Clarity on why you sabotage your efforts towards a healthy weight
- A safe haven for spending time with the Lord
- Christ-centered teaching
- Healing through prayer
- Calm from the presence of the Holy Spirit
Here’s a special message from the keynote speaker, Jennifer Kennedy Dean:
I’ve been there. I know what it feels like when food runs your life. I know the feeling of failure. I never thought I’d see the day when I could say that food no longer has any hold on my life. But that day has come. Several years ago, I simply found that God had healed the stronghold that food had become in my life. For a while, I couldn’t explain it. It just was so. But with some years to process the changes, I believe I can now share with you the strategy God used to set me free. It’s not that I finally found a diet that I want you to go on. It’s not that I finally found the secret to exercising self-control. The key to my healing is not in controlling my behavior, but in finding a freedom within that changed my behavior.
RESTORE is Sunday-Tuesday, April 15-17, 2018.
